I have had the pleasure of getting to know Erika very well over the past couple of years. She will be an amazing asset to the Timpanogos School Board! I have known her as a caregiver and advocate for some of the amazing people I also get to help provide care for. Erika is honest, reliable and always follows-through on what she says she will do. She is an incredible advocate for those who cannot speak for themselves, especially children and adults who are vulnerable and require unique and complex care in their day-to-day lives. Erika understands very well the challenges of navigating the education system for students with disabilities from both the perspective of an educator as well as personally, as she advocates for those in her care. I have always been impressed with how she always puts the person first and focuses on helping people have different opportunities to learn, experience new things, and have the best life possible. I have no doubt that she will bring a wonderful voice and loads of experience to the many issues the school board has to navigate, and she will do this by always prioritizing the needs and desires of the students and families she represents!
